student 2008 |
In addition to the general support
of the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Auxiliary Board
is proud to sponsor the Foundation’s youth education
programming, specifically, the annual Taliesin
apprenticeships. Each year, top prize-winning students
from the Newhouse
Program and Architecture Competition are awarded a trip
to Frank Lloyd Wright’s School of Architecture in
Spring Green, Wisconsin. While at Taliesin, students work
with a mentor on a design project. The Newhouse Scholars
follow Frank Lloyd Wright’s model of “learning
by doing” and participate in every aspect of life
as part of the Taliesin community.
