Build Your Own Chicago Board of Trade Building Postcard
Holabird & Roche designed this art-deco skyscraper which towers dramatically over the end of LaSalle Street. At 609 feet the Chicago Board of Trade Building was the tallest building in Chicago when completed in 1930 and featured a popular glass observation deck. A silver statue of the goddess Ceres holding a sheaf of wheat and sack of corn keeps watch over the busy commodity traders below.
