Frank Lloyd Wright Leerdam Vase - Burgundy
In 1929 Frank Lloyd Wright created 33 designs for tableware including china, stemware, serving pieces, candlesticks and vases. These designs were originally intended to be produced in metal, china or crystal. The uniqueness and complexity of these designs limited the manufacturer of the collection to a few pieces during this time. In the late 1980s, with advanced production methods using sterling silver and crystal as alternative materials, Tiffany & Company produced 23 of the original 33 pieces.
This ceramic vase is adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright's archival drawing #3033.033
