This dazzling building on Chicago’s skyline epitomizes the lavish excitement of Art Deco. The façade is composed of polished black granite, green and gold terracotta and gold leaf with bronze trim. The building’s cap is even ornamented with genuine 24 karat gold. It has been nicknamed the Champagne Building not just for its shape, but also its reputation for luxury.
