Michael Graves’ kettle is recognized all over the world as an icon of contemporary design, thanks to its mix of pop and postmodern styles. To mark the kettle’s 30th anniversary, Graves has redesigned the whistle, transforming the little bird into a mythological creature that's something between a dragon and a flying dinosaur. Symbolizing strength and fortune in Chinese culture, the dragon was chosen as a good luck charm for the kitchen.
